I have many hobbies but unfortunately I haven't had much time to enjoy them due to the fact that there aren't enough hours in the day. However, there's always time to curl up on the couch with a good book and one of my five cats and relax!! I love to read novels, autobiographies, decorating magazines, and children's books to my grandchildren. Reading is not only a form of relaxation for me, it is educational, motivational, and fun!!!

My Furry Friend!!

You and I have one thing in common we both love to read! I have read about seven books since the start of the school year. I feel that there is no better entertainment for your buck, than reading. It amazes me that so many people don't read on a regular basis. With all the crap going on in the world a good book is a great distraction. If you have a favorite author let me know.

Who has time to enjoy their hobbies anymore. Someone once told me that if the day was about 5 hours longer, people might be able to get something done! Great quote. I feel that way more every year. Five Cats! Wow! Sounds like a handful to me!

Hi Karla,

I wish I would read more. I'm thinking that once my boys are all done with football I will have a little extra time to do that. As Travis said, it's inexpensive and you can do it for 5 minutes or 5 hours. Debbie

I love reading when I have time but there is nothing worse than starting a good book when you know you really don't have time to read it. It is so frustrating. Reading is an awesome way to escape and relax in your own world. I love it.

I also love to read, and am amazed when I find out that students don't read regularly. I don't think many parents model the importance and joy of reading at home.
